I’d like to propose a toast.
[Raises glass of Sunshine Juice.*]
To health, happiness, good food, great friends, and all the love you can possibly stand in 2012.
*Sunshine Juice
- 1 head leafy green lettuce
- 6 carrots
- 4 oranges, peeled
- 1 Meyer lemon, peeled
- 2-3 inches fresh ginger
I ran it through the juicer in that order. This made a crap ton of juice – a yield of about 40 oz (totally having visions of an Edward 40-Hands party with fresh juice – if you don’t know what I’m talking about, look it up). Alex had one full glassful and I had 1+2/3 glasses. Perfect power breakfast for the first day of 2012!
Happy new year – let’s make it a great one. :)

I’m not sure that I should admit that I actually do know what an Edward 40 hands party is! Although I’ve never actually attended one.
Hehehehe I’ve been to one, oops!
I’ve hosted an Edward 40-hands party. No shame here.
I’ve attended one. Again, the parallels on our lives are almost disturbing.
I had to look it up. Happy new year my friend! Cheers to it being a happy and healthy year for all of us! xoxo
Hehehehe I’ve participated in an Edward 40 Hands party, oops.

I looooove the crazy zing that happens when drinking fresh juice, and kale is such a nutrient powerhouse!!

Edward 40 hands with juice?!?!- yes! hahaha.
Nope, I have not played that game. But I would if it were a smoothie! Ginger makes me think of pregnancy nausea, can I omit that and it still be Sunshine???
Hahahhahah definitely don’t want you thinking about nausea!! No ginger!
Hope you have a happy, healthy 2012!!!! Just found your blog, love it and look forward to your posts through the year.
Hey Roz, thanks for stopping by and happy new year to you!!
Yes, let’s toast! Happy 2012! Now I have to look up Edward 40 hands and make this juice.
I really want to have a juice party… it would be so much fun!
